Blue Hill Ave

By Shellyann Ross

Blue Hill Ave is one of the longest and busiest roads in Dorchester.

Franklin Park, which was named after Ben Franklin, is part of Blue Hill Ave along with many residences and businesses.

This road was first traveled by horse-drawn street cars, then electric -powered street cars. Now buses and cars have replaced the others.

Today, Blue Hill Ave is still a major connection for all parts of the city from Dudley Street to Mattapan Square.
