Dan and Dawn talking with a saleman

Day Two

by Dan Pardi

The second day we went to the computer store in cambridge. Our task was to buy a computer in our virtual world. When I first walked into the store I went right to a salesperson. At first I felt uncomfortable with the salesperson. It was hard to work with him. It seemed like he was trying to sell me a computer that I didn't want. We were looking at a Cyrix 180Mhz and he said that it didn't have the power we needed to use Digital recorders and video. He showed us a computer that was three times stronger and three times the price. (Keep in mind that our price limit was $1500.00) But after about 20 minutes of telling this guy that we didn't have that kind of money to spend, he finally showed us a computer that was perfect for what we needed to do and was just the right price. It was definitely a struggle to get what we needed from the salesman. He knew how much money we had to spend. I don't know why he didn't show us this computer in the first place.
